The Red Stag Tavern - (Near Lyons, GA)

5 /5 Krazy and Nosey: We were looking for a good spot to eat and local residents recommended Red Stag Tavern. The New York strip steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus was only $15 and cooked perfectly. Portions were huge…we couldn’t finish in one sitting. Great food and amazing service.

5 /5 David: Stopped in because the hotel staff recommend them for dinner. The staff are the best and we had a blast with Monday music bingo. Whitney is a rock star.

5 /5 Debra Fink: This was our first time here, traveling from out of state. We walked in around 9:30, not aware that the kitchen was closing. Our waitress approached management and they personally came to our table, offering to make us anything from the griddle. The wings were phenomenal (Spicy Garlic Parm and Jameson Honey Whiskey) and the drinks were very reasonably priced. All of the staff were friendly and checked on us, making us feel very welcomed. The atmosphere left nothing to be desired! We sat on the deck overlooking a small lake- there were string lights, some signs and decor, and just enough light to set a relaxing vibe. They were even decorating for Halloween, and all of the staff were happy and excited, such a nice sight that showcased a family environment. We later realized it was the owner who had approached us and personally cooked our food! What an amazing way to welcome and take care of customers! We have added this to our road-trip stops and can not wait to come back here again! Don’t pass this one up, you won’t be disappointed!

3 /5 Igor Varga: I hoped this place was different. Asked for a rare ribeye... got medium rare to medium. Caesar salad was disappointing. Fries were tasty. I didnt complain only because i was pressed for time, too tired and hungry. Ate the steak anyway. Seems like every steakhouse Ive been to lately cannot prepare a properly cooked rare steak. Service was good. Waitstaff attentive and prompt

5 /5 Carl Walker: Super impressed with the food here. Onion rings- 5+ Stars. I travel for a living and have had onion rings in pretty much every state and dozens upon dozens of cities, these are hands down the best ones Ive ever had. Shrimp fish taco- 5 Stars. Two huge pieces of shrimp with just the right amount of everything in the taco. Fries oysters - 5 stars-. Not too much to say here, theyre just really good. Wings - 4.5 stars. Double fried wings taste more like fried chicken than regular chicken wings do, which generally I dont prefer, but these were fried up just right and very good. Service was friendly and excellent.
