Egg Harbor Cafe - (Near Geneva, IL)

Kimberly Nguyen Went an hour before close from working on remodeling/ construction. Felt self conscious coming in covered in paint and exhausted but hungry. Staff was very welcoming and attentive. Wait from ordering food was within 5 minutes. Very fast and food was piping hot. The portions were huge so well worth the money. Including alcohol. Holiday special margaritas were dangerously tasty. I made a mistake with the tip being tipsy and manager came out and fixed my error on the kiosk and refunded my self over charge. Embarrassing but the staff really made me feel welcomed.

Southern IL Food Critic The scenery looked good, they had a selection of sauces available at the table, the food was cooked well, tasted even better. The briskett was really good would definitely recommend along with their ribs. Their sides the potato salad, baked potato, BBQ beans, and coleslaw was really good as well though I do not belive they are all made in house. Our waitress Carrie was a sweetheart checked on us and helped me remember a movie name. All around good food, good service, and even though I ordered a lot of food I did not wait a long time to receive it.

Van Der Karr Ryan (Ryan) Completely impressed with the experience. We arrived later in the day and despite being relatively close to the end of the day, everyone was pleasant and the service was outstanding. They serve vraft cocktails and an upscale twist on bar food and everything was delicious! We tried multiple dishes, various drinks and an appetizer and there wasnt a single letdown in the bunch. To top it off my son ordered one of the insane milkshakes (it came with an entire piece of cake on top!!) and it was wonderful! When we finished we were all full and completely enjoyed the experience. It even cost us less than other similar restaurants we tried out during the holidays. We all HIGHLY recommend going here!! We will DEFINITELY be back!

Katie OBrien Most under-rated restaurant in Geneva. Right by the train station with plenty of parking behind and a beautiful open layout. Modern, warm decor perfect for a work lunch or date night. I was there for a work lunch and our waiter was charming and had great timing. We were able to chat without interruption. The food came quickly and was fresh and delicious. Big portions and great prices, lingering around $20. I ordered the crab cake appetizer. It was served with a side salad and was the perfect size. My guests had sandwiches with side salad. Again, so good, so generously portioned. I genuinely can’t wait to go back to try their bruschetta varieties (they had like 6 versions!) and other things on the menu. If I HAD to say something needed improvement it would be that the menu was very big and a bit overwhelming. It would be great if they held some things back and rotated them seasonally. Looking forward to coming back at night with some friends. Came back last weekend. This time for dinner with my niece and son. Another fantastic meal. Bruschetta was out of this world. Octopus was good but was full size, not mini like it says on the menu. Not a big deal still very good.

Michelle Denning Great food, very fresh, friendly service. Clean, comfy atmosphere for very small groups. Loved the roasted pork over rice, squid skewers, and dumplings. Personally, I didnt like the cold gizzards. I prefer them breaded and warm. Food was super fast!! $47 for 2 with appetizers, drinks, tip.

Harbaugh Alexander Virginia “Ginger” Food was delicious! The owner even stepped out of the kitchen to announce our friends retirement (which we were celebrating) and another persons birthday. Fries chicken- Soooo Good! Their chicken n dumplings are SO good - they ran out of them! Atmosphere - family friendly, lots of laughter, family and friend conversations!!! For wait time, I cant say, because we reserved a table ahead of time...since it wss a large party (12)
