Jacob Mounts My wife and I had dinner here to celebrate my wifes birthday. It was a place we had eyeballed for quite a while, but given our work schedules we hadnt been able to try yet. Ill say that they did not disappoint. We called to make reservations, but for the day and hour we showed up, they werent busy enough to necessitate it. However, I would still recommend calling just to make sure your particular dinner party can be accommodated for your needs. Food was excellent. Salad starters with bread. I had the ribeye and my wife had the salmon. Both were prepared nicely and with good presentation. My wife was treated with dessert as it was her birthday as a courtesy of the restaurant. (They even included a candle!) FOH staff was helpful and courteous. Wine list was decent. A gentleman who did not present himself and Im only guessing is either the owner or FOH manager checked on us before we left to make sure everything was as expected. He was friendly and appreciated our comments of our experience that evening. The atmosphere is very nice for a more upscale establishment. This place is great for a special dinner occasion (date night, birthday, anniversary, etc.). Yes, its kinda pricey but worth it for those rare occasions when you want a nice evening out. I definitely recommend trying this restaurant if youre looking for something a little more refined. Pictures of the dinner menu, dessert menu as well as our meals on the evening we were there are added to the review.

Mirra - Chicago

Rating: 4.6 /5
Ryan Wantland Who knew Mexican and Indian flavors marry so well? Mirra was a true delight from start to finish and each dish was bursting with flavor. Our delightful server guided us well and two of us shared two smaller and two larger plates. We started with two newer items on their menu: the Mirra Salad (perfectly dressed with a mildly spicy lime dressing and crispy lentil noodles) and Baked Paneer (generous portion served with tortillas, a delectable garlic sauce, salsa macha, and another refreshing salsa) The Pollo Rostizado was super moist with a beautifully seasoned skin, only to be followed with the Lamb Barbacoa Biryani that almost looked too photogenic to eat. We had no room for dessert so we’ll have to come back again! If Mirra is on your radar, don’t hesitate! They’re doing everything right.

Genos Trattoria & Chophouse - Waterloo

Omid Harandi The manager, Nicco, handled a significant delay in food preparation very well on a very busy night. He lifted our low spirits by offering a bottle of wine and reducing our bill, which we truly appreciated. Taylor also contributed to a warm and welcoming atmosphere during the evening. Problems can happen anywhere, but what truly matters is how they are handled—and Nicco’s professionalism and care reflect greatly on both the restaurant and himself.

Mom & Pops Kettle Korn Stop - Paxton

Rating: 4.8 /5
Tabitha Eichelberger Love this place! Professional yet small town friendly atmosphere. The variety of popcorn flavors range from unique to traditional and everything in between. I also love their support of local entrepreneurs. They feature various items from locals including jellies, soda pop, and holiday favorites like chocolate bombs for Christmas and valentines treats! This is a must stop if you are in the Paxton area!
