Sean Hall Hosted our large group very well. Food was great and tasty. First time having birria tacos and they were great, although a little fatty on the meat. Menu is huge. Must be a local favorite.

Huckleberrys Pub - Mounds

Rating: 4.4 /5
J B Love finding places like this! Traveling through Illinois and this small(not really) diner pub shows up at the right time. The food was just superb. For my sandwich, I wish the portions were a bit bigger, but what was on the plate was absolutely delicious! Every member of my party truly enjoyed their meal. So if you are driving and see this place or want to take a road trip, its definitely worth the trip. O and, by the way, be sure to check out the weather station it might be more accurate than the meteorologists!

Blackhawk Steak Pit - Oregon

Rating: 4.4 /5
Jeff Kagay We just celebrated our 12 yr anniversary at the Blackhawk steak pit. Heard some nice things about this place and I read the reviews, some great some not so great. As for me and my wife we loved it! The service was great even while being pretty busy. Salad bar very nice and our dinner was awesome. I had the porterhouse steak just as I wanted it. Wife had the kabobs. No complaints, everything was really good. And for dessert raspberry cheesecake perfect. So 5 stars from me great job, well be back!

Baker Street - Dixon

Meghan Verhulst My husband had 9 cupcakes delivered to me for my birthday and they were really delicious. The delivery guy was also so sweet and wished me happy birthday. The cupcakes are very dense which I like but others may not. Think Crumbl cookie texture. The white cupcake in particular was very dense, others not quite as dense. They were beautifully decorated as well. Will order from them in the future!

Carter Harris What an amazing experience! This place truly impressed me from start to finish. They don’t take reservations, but if you call ahead, they’ll add you to their priority seating list. We did that and had no trouble getting in on a busy Friday evening. We were even lucky enough to get a cozy high-top table by the window with a beautiful view of the sunset. Our server was outstanding — attentive, friendly, and full of great suggestions. For drinks, I tried the On the Strawberry Swing cocktail, which was light, refreshing, and delicious. We ordered the baked brie and mussels to start, and both were absolutely perfect. By the time we shared the fig and prosciutto pizza, we were already full, but it was so good we couldn’t stop eating. The crust was soft and fresh, and the balance of flavors was spot on. The sweetest surprise came at the end when they brought out a complimentary dessert for my birthday. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made the night feel extra special. Everything about this place stood out — the atmosphere, the service, and especially the food. I can’t wait to come back for another unforgettable meal.

Joes Trattoria - Aledo

Rating: 4.5 /5
Ashlie Dellitt We went for our anniversary dinner - we had our rehearsal dinner here 13 years ago, because we love Joes. They shift to new ownership soon. We are sure it will still be great but we will miss the family that has owned and run this restaurant for 50 years. Food was wonderful of course! Wishing all the best for the Vitale/Lee family and glad the restaurant will stay open under new ownership and not close altogether. We are hoping the mural stays and that they keep the wonderful banquet room that is a huge asset to our small community. Its a special place for sure.
