El Jarrito Mexican Grill - (Near Ruston, LA)

5 /5 Samuel Patton: A friend of mine told me this place was in his top 3 Mexican joints in the area so I gave it a try on the way home from Jackson, MS. This is an older building but my friend says he likes this one better than the new one they built on the next exit down. I was seated quickly but it took a few minutes to get chips & salsa and for them to take my order. They didnt seem to have many people working on this Friday night. But Im sure much of the traffic has shifted to their new location. I enjoyed the chips & salsa. They were above average for our area. I ordered the Steak Street Tacos and they were excellent. The steak had such a great flavor and was tender unlike most Mexican restaurants. Steak seems to be one of their specialties judging from the menu. Would I go back? That answer is definitely. I cant wait to take my wife and see what she thinks. We love our Mexican food.

5 /5 Kimberly Byrns: We were staying next door for a week on business and ate here almost every night. Everything we had was excellent! We really loved the Molcajete!!! The staff was amazing and its just a great place to hang out too.

5 /5 River Lule: Great Mexican food. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The salsa for the nachos has just the right amount of spice and fantastic mix of tomatoes and cilantro. Their Mocaljete is superb. Will come back!!!

5 /5 Sharlena Armand: Food was good. We got steaks and sides (black beans, grilled veggies, salad). Salad was not great. Just shredded lettuce, tomato and cheese and bagged dressing. Black beans were delicious! The grilled veggies were seasoned perfectly and delicious! Steaks were cooked perfect as well - medium rare. Kids got quesadillas and enchilada. Both were good and ate them all.
