Cameron Campbell We had a top-notch experience here all the way around. I cant hardly explain how good the food was and how friendly the owner was. The menu appears to have different items on different days. Today was either ox tail, fried pork chops, beef tips and rice. Someone in our group mentioned he didnt want any of these, and the owner asked his wife to cook chicken wings. Not on todays menu. Each meat came with a choice of mashed potatoes or rice and 2 additional sides, and cornbread. Not only were the meats fantastic, but the sides couldnt have been better. Between the three of us, we got cabbage, fried okra, yams, and okra and tomatoes. All were exceptional. Friendly service and great kindness all the way around. They had so many people come and order take out while we were there, and each was greeted as a friend. You can dine in, it has a small diner restaurant charm. No room for dessert because of the abundant food quantities, but they had those too. Im just sorry we are just visiting and cant eat here often. Its reasonably priced as well. All our 3 meals and water, 45 bucks. You will go away happy and full. Give them a try, and how can you go wrong by supporting people who Walk By Faith.

Dustin Hinkle Anytime we pass near Covington, LA, we really only think about one place we need to stop and get our sushi ON! Megumi always delivers and that matters for us because we are rarely in the area and able to visit. But we try and go at least 2-3 times a year. Love it!

Samuel Patton A friend of mine told me this place was in his top 3 Mexican joints in the area so I gave it a try on the way home from Jackson, MS. This is an older building but my friend says he likes this one better than the new one they built on the next exit down. I was seated quickly but it took a few minutes to get chips & salsa and for them to take my order. They didnt seem to have many people working on this Friday night. But Im sure much of the traffic has shifted to their new location. I enjoyed the chips & salsa. They were above average for our area. I ordered the Steak Street Tacos and they were excellent. The steak had such a great flavor and was tender unlike most Mexican restaurants. Steak seems to be one of their specialties judging from the menu. Would I go back? That answer is definitely. I cant wait to take my wife and see what she thinks. We love our Mexican food.

Jack Loftus A fantastic high-end Mexican restaurant! Beautiful fit and finish, wide walkways, and lots of glass in exterior walls and great ceiling height. This allowed a lot of natural light in, allowing a unique positive experience compared to most d restaurants with almost no windows and dimly lit booths. Service was great and responsive, and food portions were overwhelming. Needless to say, I required a to go box for all the food I couldnt put down. The place was decorated well, and the high prices were justified!

Alan Novak Our group was in town for a training class with the local Police department, and spent 4 days searching for good food in a small town… look no further than Southern Chicks! From the second we walked in, we felt like we were at home, with a warm welcome from the friendly staff. The atmosphere was great, very clean and inviting. We ordered fried chicken, sandwiches, red beans and fried okra… 10/10! The food was amazing. We topped it off with some of there deserts which were amazing as well. Price? Can beat it for the size of the portions and quality. Highly recommend this place a good home cooked style meal. Might go back tomorrow before we head back home!!!

Mr. O This establishment is truly remarkable, boasting a complete remodel, an improved menu, refreshingly cold beverages, and an exceptional team. The owner is actively involved and is a wonderful individual. The business is owned and operated by veterans, and they have done an outstanding job revitalizing the establishment. We were frequent patrons a few years ago when we resided in the area, and at that time, the place was in need of renovation and better management. It is now a true gem and a delightful place to dine, enjoy a drink, and spend quality time with friends or family. Their wings are smoked initially and then prepared with meticulous care, resulting in an extraordinary symphony of flavors. Please consider supporting this local business.
