5 /5 Dailyshoefrenzy: Me and my wife have eaten at this restaurant maybe ten times since it has opened. The food is always good and the fresh avocado is amazing as you can see in the picture and I’m not an avocado person at all. The steak was magnificent and the rice and beans went well with the meal. We will continue to eat here multiple times a week.

5 /5 Robert Mitchell: Quick service, great food. Waiters checked on us often to see if we needed anything. I had the pollo loco and it was very filling. I probably shouldnt have finished it, because after I had the fried ice cream, I was stuffed. Overall great experience, and it was right across the street from the Fairfield I stayed at.

3 /5 Travis: Our family visited this new restaurant and here’s our honest first impression: the food was great and absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, the raspberry house margarita was not enjoyable it had a taste reminiscent of a cleaner. We had ordered the tableside guacamole, but instead our meals arrived without it. We waited for the guac while already eating our food, but it never came. We both ordered the fajitas, they were excellent. Service was also disappointing. Our waiter was mostly absent, and when we did get his attention, it felt like we were bothering him. For example, when she requested extra flour tortillas, he came back empty-handed the first time. Only after reminding him again did he finally bring them. Another waiter eventually stopped by and she asked for the check. When the bill arrived, the missing tableside guacamole was still included, and we had to point out that we never received it. Additionally minor thing, we ordered from the kids’ menu for our 3-year-old, which was listed at $8.50, but we were charged $10.25 instead. To be fair, it was a busy night and we did wait about an hour to be seated outdoors on a Thursday around 5:00 p.m. Still, the service definitely needs improvement. That said, the food itself was delicious, and we will be back to give it another try. If you’re looking for good food, this place is worth a visit—but hopefully, the service will improve.

3 /5 TD G: The service is hit or miss. They told us 20 to 30 wait so we decided we’d have a drink at the bar. So we had a seat at the bar, after 15 minutes nobody even took our drink order so we got up and left. One woman behind the bar just stood there like she didn’t know what she was doing. Finally , we got seated and service was fairly quick once we got seated and the food came out fairly quick. The food was definitely not that authentic of Mexican, but was just OK. The margaritas were big and plentiful. I had two but apparently no tequila in them because I did not even catch a slight buzz. And once you got your food, it was like they were trying to rush you right out. I know it was busy, but you shouldn’t rush the customer out. Would I wait 40 minutes to eat there again absolutely not

5 /5 Singh: Newly opened in Plattsburgh, El Dorado Mexican Restaurant is a delightful addition to the area. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive, making every visit enjoyable. The food is flavorful, fresh, and truly authentic—my favorites were the tacos and enchiladas. The restaurant has a comfortable seating arrangement with ample space, and the parking area is convenient, which makes dining stress-free. Being a new place, a few spots felt slightly crowded, but that doesn’t take away from the overall experience. I absolutely loved it and will definitely be returning soon!
