Garlic Buns Bree and I had the pleasure of sharing dinner with my lovely niece Jessica Mazur and her two delightful children at the local Applebees tonight. This milestone marked the first time my niece and I have had a chance to connect over a meal, and Im eager to create many more memories like this in the future. Im grateful for all of you! Francis Ramos We were there today to celebrate my sister-in-law’s birthday over brunch. The pernil boraccho was great. I like that the rice had a fried egg on top. I ate all of it. James the owner was super friendly and gave us a brief history of him, his family, and the restaurant. He let us try his version of coquito since my SIL makes and distributes her own coquito. We loved it. He offered us and some other tables Puerto Rican pitorro (moonshine) which was too strong for me, but my brother liked it a lot. To be balanced, my only major criticism was that the maduros were just simply fried it seems, I like my maduros a little sweeter and softer so I typically make them with a little brown sugar but to each their own. For cocktails, the Huracan was delicious. Didn’t get a chance to try La Puñeta but my bro liked it. In summary, I left with a full and bloated stomach.

Joel Friedman Poughkeepsie NY institution, awesome food and excellent service. Variety of entrees, all brought to the table at the same time and hot. Huge shared salad, lightly fried crispy calamari with delicious marinara side and fresh lemon quarters

Robert Bozeman Having owned the Moosewood cookbook for decades, I was excited to visit this culinary icon of vegetarianism. We loved the green pea hummus especially, but all three dishes we ordered were delicious. Emily provided excellent service on the covered patio. The nicely appointed gift shop, displaying many of the MW cookbooks, had unexpected delights. I purchased a locally made candle with an unusual yet pleasant scent. My only negative which resulted in 4 stars is the inside tables are very close to each other and the original table was crammed next to a wall and was very wobbly. We opted for the outdoor seating as a result. We suggest they consider giving patrons a bit more space indoors.
