Ionel Porumb Four Star Cafe in Congers, NY, is a cozy gem! My wife and I stopped by without a reservation, and the owner happily accommodated us despite being full. The restaurant is clean, has a nice bar, a good wine list, and the food was absolutely delicious. The friendly staff made the experience even better. Highly recommend!

Greg Lange We had an outstanding experience at The Storyteller. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, but what really made the night special were the people. Hugo and Sebastian were great conversationalist that made the evening truly enjoyable. Hugo, the bartender, crafted some truly exceptional cocktails—easily some of the best we’ve had in any hotel restaurant. Sebastian was equally impressive: personable, attentive, and sharp. The menu was a very pleasant surprise—creative, flavorful, and far above what you’d expect from a hotel dining spot. We had the scallops and sweet/spicy chicken sandwich. We followed Hugo’s recommendations on drinks and dinner and everything was top notch. Highly recommend stopping in whether you’re staying at the hotel or just looking for great drinks, great food, and great service.

Lisa Yes!!! Loved this little gem of a place on Maine St in Herkimer!!! And our server was the absolute best!!! We got the Hemingway soup (seafood chowder) which was delicious!!! We also tried the Rocket Salad which was my absolute favorite!!! Finally, we shared the turkey dinner flatbread - what???? How is that possible? It was all very good food. Can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu.

IM WALT Was staying at local inn called fainting goat and decided to gat dinner at the shed. Everything was great! I had the salad with cheesesteak beef and the meat was outstanding. Others had wings and loaded tater tots and they were also excellent. If we are ever in the area again well be back

guy zaczek The owner was behind the counter and said their menu was very customizable. This was my first Quesadilla so my family made fun of me. It even had Loganberry as a soda drink Fantastic food experience.

Cary G UPDATE 1: The porkchop is unbelievable! Must try. Outstanding! So far weve tried the salmon, cornish hen, flatbread and the Sunday Brunch Jersey breakfast sandwich. All were the finest examples I can ever remember having. Juicy and flavorful. GBH is one of the best premium quality restaurants weve had in a very long time. They can easily run with My Cousins but with a more modern appeal. Its not all pasta- theres some great stuff here! Its on Lake Carmel and its absolutely a postcard level venue. Gorgeous. The staff is amazing and the chef is fantastic. You need to check it out now before GBH becomes a 2 week booking prospect!
