While the food can occasionally vary, the overall quality, presentation, and ambiance make every visit memorable. What truly sets Shadows apart is how perfect it is for special occasions. Each corner of the space feels thoughtfully designed, making it an ideal backdrop for celebrations of any kind. I’m incredibly hopeful and excited to host my wedding welcome party in their outdoor event space this summer—it’s the kind of venue that instantly transforms an event into something magical. Overall, Shadows on the Hudson continues to be one of my all-time favorite places. It delivers breathtaking moments, exceptional service, and a level of hospitality that makes every visit feel special. Absolutely spectacular.

Dean C I got the Nashville hot chicken salad: feta cheese, pickles, and blue cheese dressing. It might not sound like much, but it was incredibly good. Washed it down with a Mexican lager at the bar. The bartenders were super nice and the vibe was solid. Great place. If I lived here, I’d definitely be a regular.

Ira Teich What a wonderful experience. A professionally managed and staffed restaurant. Before we sat, two bread baskets were on the table, dipping dishes of oil and balsamic vinegar for the bread, water carafe and menus waiting for the seven of us. This was a Sunday night at 6:15 and the place was packed with customers. Matt P. , our waiter was attentive, anticipated what we would want, he helped make the dining experience enjoyable. The food portions were ample and reasonably priced. Some in our party ordered various kinds of pizza; the crust was reminiscent of what we ate in Italy; lovely. I had the pasta butera, great; others had the chicken parm and lastly the sausage fennel and pasta. The noise level was on the high side but we didn’t have too much trouble hearing each other. The desserts were very good (cannoli, flourless chocolate cake, tartoufo, chocolate lava cake and a root beer float) were all very good. If the tip was calculated at the typical 20% of the pretax total or double the tax, it would be too low to show how much we appreciated Matt P.

Jacqueline Chen Excellent all round. Quality food and tentative service. The lunch set is a must try, a sample of all the good things from this restaurant. Every item was prepared to perfection. The chicken was so tender. The lentils were hearty and tasty with just enough spice. Both and roti and naan were warm and fresh, and not too stodgy. We ordered a vegetarian set and a chicken set to so we could swap some items. It was perfect. I’ll definitely be back for the dinner service.

DemonstratedByCC Overall experience was a 10/10. Food is well seasoned and prepared. Atmosphere is so beautiful and my server Diego took special care of us, marvelous worker and terrific service. I will definitely be returning for some drinks next time. They also offer karaoke as well.

Kayden Tyler The food was EVERYTHING!!! Luckily we got there when it wasn’t so busy so the food arrived quickly. The staff was friendly and welcomed us immediately. In my Arnold voice, “I’ll be back!” 8-16-25 Went today and had De-Sean as our server and he was attentive and just nice and friendly! Was nice to sit outside and enjoy the good weather.

Timothy Ciangiola Went in for a quick drink... Jenna the bartender was very friendly and polite. I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea which was more than tasty. Truthfully I didnt order any food so I cant fairly rate their food but after some careful observation I noticed that their salads are very big. But from what I hear the candied bacon is phenomenal. One last thing I noticed was this man who was greeting and knew almost every guest in the restaurant, so when I asked the bartender if that was the manager she had told me no thats the owner Tommy. Not too soon after that he introduced himself and I must say he is one of the kindest n friendliest business owners I have ever encountered from the firmness of his handshake to the attention and constant eye contact while holding conversation. All in all Id suggest crew restaurant to anyone.
