Top 15 Affordable Restaurants in Catskill, NY

JDL I ordered one of the chef’s specials. I payed $14 but the portion was so big that I can only eat half. So now I have to eat the other half tomorrow for lunch (in the picture is when the rice actually can fit in the container after I ate the container was full with rice in the separate container) My wife is also Asian and her cooking is better but this is the only place I know that can match her rice when I’m far from home. I have no complaints really. 5 stars

A I come here several times a week. As soon as I walk in the door I am greeted with friendly service and the food is always delicious every time. Ashley is the star of the show and amazing at her job. Ive noticed she always helps the other staff even when its busy. Taylor is an artist when it comes to making bagels, and Peter brings it all together from the kitchen.

Erin Locascio Here for a wedding weekend and stopped by Subversive and had an awesome time! Great beer menu - I got the Forbidden Fruit, which was a black current sour ale that was light and punchy. Adored it. I also loved how many vegan/ vegetarian options there were with different plant based burger options and I got the sweet potato and black bean tacos which were full of flavor and delicious. Lots of great outside areas to chill, was the perfect spot to hang!

Galloway N. “Aniel” Fantastic restaurant and bar at the Catskill country club. While they are currently reworking their menu everything they offer is fantastic. Pricing is absolutely unbeatable for the area and the atmosphere is elegant and pleasant. If you want a quick bite to each, with inexpensive drinks right in a place that feels like and escape while in the heart of catskill I recommend giving Bistro 27 a try. I strongly recommend their lunch specials.

Patty Mancino Wonderful place for a party! Drink selection was so nice and the food was very good. Upstairs and downstairs were both nice way to spread out. Check out the very intriguing bathrooms.

Wesley Tunison This is a wonderful authentic Thai restaurant run by a lovely couple. In order to keep prices down when it isn’t busy they are often understaffed so be prepared to enjoy your time with friends and I wouldn’t recommend if you’re in a rush. This is not a get in and out fast food place but rather a quality food that is prepared fresh with attention to detail in an environment that makes you feel at home. I have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. Everything is incredibly delicious.

Ellie Grin It was a fabulous gateway! The location is perfect! We spent whole day cross country skiing , it is 15 min driving from the hotel. Next day we spent in Hunter Mountains. It is also not far away. Staff is very friendly. The food is super delicious! They have some Russian cuisine. It is the awesome place to try Russian food. Honestly, it is better than in fancy Russian restaurants in New York. The room was clean, and it has everything you need. We liked a small kitchen with a sink and a microwave, so we could have a meal at the room. Pros; location, food, friendly staff and small kitchen in rooms. Cons: none. We will definitely come back.

haley scott Weve been here about 5 times now. The staff is really nice and attentive. We ordered the steak it came with potatoes and veggies, it was really good. I dont normally order steak out because I like it better when I make it at home, but I would 100% order the steak again.

Ginger Tatarzewski Went here with my family. Everyone ordered a variety of food from pizza to eggplant parm to different types of wraps. The food was GREAT! Portions were very large, and the service was friendly. Prices were moderate. The owner was there and chatted with us - making sure everything was OK. All around great place for great food and great prices!!!

Russ Johnson This. Chrome, glass, and neon diner has plenty of parking and plenty of seating. Is located conveniently close to I 89. I had a Gyro, which was stuffed with lamb. And the sweet potato fries on the side or among the best I’ve had. The white staff were professional and were hustling. But, I didn’t see any of them being very friendly. I’m not sure if that is a management expectation. But since the place wasn’t busy, it would’ve been nice if someone had taken a moment to say "hello" and "welcome" instead of just asking "what do y’all want?"
