Backyard Ale House - (Near Scranton, PA)

5 /5 Andrew Krimmel: This place has great food! We started with the Bavarian pretzels which come with three pretzels and cheese and mustard dips. I had the roast beef sandwich which was stacked and had great flavor and onion rings. My buddy had the BBQ sampler with the pork, ribs, and brisket which he said was delicious. Of course the beer options are endless as there is a very large list of options draft or bottled/can. The service was also very good and I will definitely be stopping by again!

5 /5 Paul Brookes: After driving for 16 hours, getting to our hotel and trying to find food late evening in Scranton... Backyard Ale House came through in a pinch. The got the kitchen to make us food at end of shift which we are most grateful for. Ryan was our server but everyone helped us. A beer, a martini and some food... We would recommend them to anyone! Thanks for being so welcoming and for a great experience after a tragically long day.

5 /5 Cathy Rewald: Wow!!! My husband and I recently moved to Scranton and we were looking for a local restaurant to give our business to. We came across this place and I’m thrilled that we did!!! Every staff member who walked past our table asked if we were doing okay or if we needed anything. They were all so friendly!! We decided to eat out back since it’s a gorgeous Spring day. I was expecting to sit there and swat bugs away but nope, the “ceiling” is screened with pretty lights shimmering above. The atmosphere was fun. The food…the presentation was amazing and the taste was even better!!! We will definitely be regulars and will bring our family when they visit town!!!

5 /5 Cindy Gonzalez: We had an amazing experience here on a Saturday afternoon, family of 5 and two small pups that like to bark occasionally…..they welcomed us with open arms, even though our young pups were misbehaving a bit the waitress made us feel so comfortable and welcomed. We were able to order two plain pieces of grilled chicken for the dogs which was great. The food was delicious, I think that we ordered too much food, but my tacos and Mac and cheese were delicious along with a perfect margarita. My son is so picky, he only eats fries cooked perfectly of course and devoured them! My older daughters loved the jukebox app they have available to purchase and play music. We will be back! Thank you for your kindness and making us feel welcomed!

5 /5 David Barber: Great menu options and friendly service. Everything was super tasty. My wife said the French onion was some of the best she’s ever had. The burgers were cooked perfectly and the chicken bites were tender and flavorful.
