3 /5 Miguel Ballesteros: The service was fantastic, our server Yusuf was very professional and attentive. Started off with drinks, pretty good, a little on the sweet side, but the clear ice is a definite plus. Next, the appetizers fell flat, as we ordered the octopus a la plancha and kale salad. The kale salad was fine, but heavy handed on the lemon. Octopus was a little overcooked, so the flavor was mostly char and some sea with the texture of Haribo gummy. The saving grace of the dish was the romesco sauce and the bright red cabbage slaw served on the side. Continuing that theme of good sauces, the sea bass had a nice dill mint butter sauce with perfect potatoes. In addition, the smoked chili ragu on the rigatoni and meatballs was fantastic, the cook on the rigatoni was just right and the sauce had a great body, really elevating the dish.
All in all, the ambiance of the venue really sells the place as well as the service. The menu feels a bit dated in style, but that can be expected of a lounge-style bar and restaurant. The price point is high, so it doesn’t seem to be a place I’ll come back to often, but the view alone could sell me a $25 cocktail on a special evening.
