The Brewerie at Union Station - Erie

Rating: 4.5 /5
Sarah Dietz I usually don’t take the time to review restaurants, but had to say something about this place. We found it on a whim from a google search when on a family vacation in Erie. First off, the ambiance is amazing. It was so cool seeing the history of this building. I think I was constantly looking around the whole time we were there. Not only did my husband and I both absolutely love the beers that we tried, but we were blown away by the food as well. I got one of the Mac and cheese dishes and he had the honey salmon special. It’s very rare to have a cool atmosphere, great service, amazing drinks, and delicious food- but this place offered it all.

Brandy Franco First time at The Flying Egg in Bethlehem. We fell in love with the food and the atmosphere. Their Bloody Mary was the best in the Valley, hands down. This place is a must, and is a new go-to for delicious breakfast. Make a reservation! This place is hoping!

Laura Buchanan This place is phenomenal. I love homemade Italian food so this was exactly for me. It’s like your grandma is cooking for you. Be realistic, don’t expect a huge menu on a Monday, we order the specials and tiramisu-everything was to die for. We will return. Loved everything.

Ulyana K Personally, I really liked this place. The food is quite solid, but the 5 star really comes from the experience here. Its super homey. The owner (the lady) sat with us and talked to us and all the other diners, making jokes and just generally having a good time. She was very cool. The ambiance is so very nice, very Hungarian. Now the food: I tried the goulash, Lagos, chicken soup, chicken paprikas, and a cherry strudel. Most of the food was excellent. Both the soups were outstanding. Well seasoned. The chicken soup was filled with interesting noodles and was very warm, and the goulash had tender meat and flavorful broth. The langos was pretty interesting and well made too, but not my favorite. Its a street food, like a fried bread with some toppings like sour cream and cheese. It tasted a little bland and a tad oily, but the sour cream was a nice addition. The main course, the chicken paprikas, was also quite good. The chicken was pretty tender, I believe a mix of dark and white meat. The sauce is quite nice, and again the sour cream works really well here. The noodles are also very well made, very authentic. Finally, for dessert, I had the cherry strudel. I absolutely loved it, so much so that I almost forgot to take a picture (ate immediately)! Filled to the brim with cherries, soup, sweet, and perfect. Good size and fair price. Highly recommend.
