Codys Restaurant Bar & Patio - San Marcos

Kristen Meitzen Enjoyed my birthday celebration here with my husband and teen daughters. It was delicious! Started with salads and milk bread... scrumptious! The compound butter served with the milk bread was perfect! So much so I took the rest home and used it in our dinner the next night. Entrées were Wellington, 2 Filet and Shrimp... it was mouth watering! We topped it off with the warm brownie and ice cream. Every ounce was polished off and not one item (save for the butter) was taken home. Thats a first! There was some sticker shock at the end but it really was a fabulous time! We will be returning for a date night in the next few months.

Amber Large building. Food is good. They have pool tables, two bars, a stage, and an outdoor patio area (one of the bars is out there).

The Gripper Kitchen - Pearland

Texas Rejects To be completely honest, I’m a bit of a fried chicken connoisseur — I know my bird. This was my first time at The Gripper, and we went in blind, not knowing the story or that the “Gripper” is the go-to order. As you’ll see from our pictures, we tried something different, but let me tell you — it did not disappoint. The flavor, the crunch, the whole vibe — 10 out of 10. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town, and if this place were local to me, it would easily replace my favorite chicken spot. Highly recommend! To top it off all of this and a 18% tip was only $57 dollars!

Vicky Gao I had such a great dinner at Bulla Gastrobar! Everything we ordered was full of flavor and beautifully plated. The octopus was perfectly grilled and tender, not chewy at all — definitely one of the highlights. The calamari was crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the dipping sauce was super refreshing. The paella was rich, flavorful, and packed with shrimp, clams, and seafood — definitely worth trying if you come here. We also ordered the short ribs, which were incredibly soft and paired perfectly with the creamy sauce. Their drinks were also really good — especially the red sangria, very fruity and refreshing. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. It’s a perfect spot for tapas, sharing plates, and enjoying a relaxed evening. Highly recommend!

Jeanne Pinion This restaurant has a little more of an old school, authentic German vibe. Ive eaten here a few times and it is always a big portion and delicious. This time I wanted something a little lighter and got the smaller portion of the Hungarian stew over herbed egg noodles. The food and service were speedy. The stew hit the spot and tasted like something perhaps your grandmother made.
