5 /5 P S: From the time we entered the restaurant to paying the check, the various restaurant staff treated us with the highest level of service. The food was served exactly as requested (and we had some substitutions). The fajitas, tortillas, and all sides were seasoned perfectly! And to top it all off, we had the most delicious apple pie a la mode served on a sizzling platter! Ooey gooey bubbly goodness! Will come again!

1 /5 Sonica Bush: Casa rod used to be really good, but it hasn’t been lately every time I go the beans are never cooked all the way the rice is never cooked all the way my daughter got a taco salad and it was caked with grease. It was so disgusting she could not even eat it. The only thing that was good was the drinks and then our waitress left without letting us know she left and left a bus boy in charge of our table so not worth going back will not go back ever again. They need better people in the kitchen and better management.

1 /5 Christina Lopez: Food took >45 minutes to come out, despite the restaurant not being very busy and us only being a party of 2. Heard other patrons talking about the wait times as well, after 2 people got up and left after apparently waiting 30 minutes for their food. Waitress only came by to give us our drinks and then disappeared for the whole 45 minutes we were waiting for the food. When the food finally came out, my fiancés food order was wrong. He ordered chicken enchiladas, it came out with 2 chicken and 1 beef. How does that even happen. In addition, my flautas tasted like they were cooked in burnt/old frying oil, and one of them was soggy. When I told the waitress about the enchiladas being wrong, she did take $3.50 off our total. Some of the most bland refried beans Ive ever had in my life; this place has incredibly mediocre food with a ridiculous wait time. Customer service was awful, with the exception of the nice man who was bringing chips and salsa to the tables, who was the only worker consistently in the dine-in area checking on customers (despite the restaurant being seemingly overstaffed for the amount of service being provided). You couldnt pay me to come back here.

2 /5 John H: So sad to see the continued slide in quality and service at this historic restaurant. Its not the parking and other excuses given by ownership, its food quality and service. Went to pay homage after hearing they were closing and the queso flameado was 2% cheese and 98% filler...peppers and onions. Daughter ordered cheese enchiladas and got beef. I ordered tostada that were supposed to be beef, bean, guacamole, lettuce and tomato. I literally got lettuce and guacamole.

1 /5 Joe Russell: Waited a long time to be seated, long time for someone take our order, long time to get food. And it was not busy at all. Waitress was rude. I had to order three different drinks before settling for water because the Coke, Dr Pepper, and sweet tea tasted old. I was very nice when asking for a new drink and instead of an apology or someone offering to get us a new drink and see what’s going wrong I received a shoulder shrug and oh well it’s Coke, or an eye roll. Us and others around us would order just to be told they were out of something. Feel like if you’re out of a certain food or drink you should let your customers know before they order. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt from the last time we were there (which was a bad experience) but seems like they’re only getting worse even with new management. There was an older man working there with a ball cap and mustache. Don’t know if he was a bus boy or what but he was extremely nice and he’s the only person that made us feel welcomed.
