Ida Aristizabal It’s been awhile since we’ve been here, we were the first customers for the day at 11am. The food is tasty and homemade. I remembered the onion rings being a little tastier but overall still a good meal. The service was acceptable but I had to keep asking for things ie napkins, condiments. They have happy hour on Sundays but just the oysters, dozen for $20. They also have weekly specials Monday-Friday.

Brock Wakham Well that was quite the incredible accidental discovery. On our autumn road trip getaway to San Antonio, we were looking for lunch outside Waco. My wife ran a Google search for "restaurants near me" and in the top of the list was Homestead Cafe. We were on I35 so it wasnt exactly "near" but the drive through the country was worth a few miles. The cafe is the heart of a beautiful craft community. The staff was wonderful. The atmosphere is warm and rustic. My wife enjoyed the wagu burger and my the wagu brisket tacos we among the best I have ever savored. Best of all, a classic car rally had made a stop here. Wow!

Erick R We had to stop for a very late dinner after my son’s soccer game, so there weren’t that many options. My wife wasn’t too thrilled to go but we had very limited choices. Glad we went as the service was great, and the food hit the spot. It was very late so not many people, and we had prompt service and the food was delicious. Would come back!

Brenda Laney Had an amazing meal at Sundown! We ordered the burger and the Freebird grilled chicken sandwich, and both were absolutely delicious. The burger was juicy and cooked perfectly, and the grilled chicken sandwich was flavorful, tender, and really well seasoned. The atmosphere was great — relaxed but lively — and the service was friendly and attentive. Everything came out fresh and hot, and you can tell they really care about the quality of their food.
