Madeira - (Near Brownsville, TX)

Tony P. 10 of out 10, would recommend. The first thing we noted was every staff member we walked by greeted us. This plus the really nice atmosphere and decor were a great way to start the experience. We were celebrating our anniversary and they even left a nice note on our table (picture). They also accommodated our stroller for our baby. I don’t remember our server’s name, but she was super pleasant and checked on us multiple times. The cool thing about this restaurant is the menu offers super fancy (expensive) items, but also has regular (affordable) items as well. I forgot to take a picture before we ate, but my wife had the Steak Frites and I had the Dry-Aged Prime Burger. Both were extremely good and very filling as you can see from the plates. The fries are good too, but a little heavy on the Parmesan. Funny sidenote, I know I’m not a fancy guy at all, but in the bathroom, they didn’t have paper towels, but they had actual cloth towels. Multiple on a nice tray. I’ve never seen that before. Long story short, I air dried my hands. Using a towel in a public bathroom just seemed odd to me, but my wife said that’s what fancy restaurants do. Anyway, we plan to be back!

LeWayne Ballard Made reservations for a Friday evening dinner. Arrived right on time and service was top notch from time we walked in, to the table, to the time we walked out the door. Was immediately seated and greeted by our server, John. John did an outstanding job explaining the menu, appetizers, wine pairings, special cuts, and desserts. Atmosphere was elegant, quiet, and intimate. Started off with Crab Cakes, Bread, and some Wine. For the meal, ordered the Kagoshima Strip Loin, DA Cowboy, Truffle Mac & Cheese, Brussel Sprouts, and finished off with some Cheese Cake. Their Wagyu Beef and Chefs Selections quality and quantity were well worth their price points. The sides went well with the mains. The Cheesecake was a great finisher to the meal. Food was great, but service even better. Will request John next time were back. Amazing food and service.

Daisy P My husband decided to bring me here for my birthday and this was truly such an amazing experience! Abraham made our experience top tier! He has extremely knowledgeable with the dishes and was very welcoming. I thank him so much for adding to this dining experience. “21 Questions” was my go to cocktail and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious as well. We finished with the creme brûlée for dessert. Abraham served us an expresó martini as well! The service here was phenomenal.

Ravisara L We sat at the bar today and had an amazing experience. Javier and Hernaez were fantastic. Javier is the mixologist who designed most of the cocktail list, and it really shows. Both of them are incredibly knowledgeable about gin, cocktails, and wine, and made the whole experience feel special. We tried several cava, but the gin and tonic still stole the show. Every cocktail was well balanced and delicious. For food, we loved the jamón, arroz negro, and the suckling pig. Everything was beautifully cooked and full of flavor. We’ll definitely be back.

Dylan J This was my first time dining here, and Ill definitely be back. I was visiting town for work and was invited here for dinner by a coworker. The crab was unbelievably delicious. It was also my first time ever trying Oysters, and Im now a big fan! The martinis were also made perfect.
