Jennifer Mills Nice little bar in the heart of downtown. Plenty of drink options to choose from and friendly bartenders. They were serving tamales and said that a food truck would be coming from Ft. Davis soon. I had a Midori sour and it was refreshing.

George’s Restaurant Bar & Catering #2 - Waco

Casey Watkins Good Food, Good Vibes, and Texas Comfort on a Plate ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ George’s Bar & Grill knows how to do comfort food right. We stopped in for a laid-back dinner, and it turned out to be one of those meals where you leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit. I had the catfish basket, and let me tell you—it was fried to perfection. Crispy golden crust on the outside, tender and flaky catfish on the inside. No grease, just straight-up flavor. Paired it with garlic mashed potatoes, which were creamy, rich, and had just enough bite to let that garlic shine through. It hit the spot. My wife went with the steak finger basket and a side of mac and cheese, and she was all smiles. The steak fingers were hearty, well-seasoned, and had that satisfying crunch you want from Southern-style comfort food. And the mac and cheese? Creamy, cheesy, and made like someone’s grandma was back there stirring the pot. The atmosphere was just as good as the food—casual, friendly, and buzzing with that local charm that makes you feel right at home. Service was quick and on point, and the prices were more than fair for the portions we got. George’s is one of those places that doesn’t need to be flashy—it wins you over with flavor, comfort, and consistency. If you’re in the mood for Southern favorites served with a smile, this place is a must-visit.

Agape BBQ - Liberty Hill

Joann Passing through to marble Falls, my husband and I stopped here for a quick lunch. Food and sides were delicious! The two young men at the front were very helpful and provided great customer service. Although we ordered the 3 meat platter, I would highly suggest to add a slightly bigger platter for two to the menu, nonetheless, our experience here was incredibly satisfying. Definitely a restaurant to remember.

Jayne Rybak This place is phenomenal! This restaurant has been open for 90 years. The food, service and atmosphere was awesome. It looks like a little restaurant from the front but you walk-through and find yourself in a beautiful botanical garden in the back. I was here for a late breakfast, but can only imagine the atmosphere on an evening. I highly recommend checking this place out. You will not be disappointed.

Chubbys Burrito Co - Pampa

Rating: 4.4 /5
Mathew Gasparovich Chubbys is a locally owned make your own burrito or bowl along the lines of Chipolte or Qdoba. Their selections are limited to whats on the picture of their menu I posted with this review. Two things that differentiate Chubbys is that they make your tortillas fresh in front of you as you order and they also include a small serving of chips and salsa. Every time Ive gone there the food has been fresh and very tasty and the service has been friendly. The restaurant could use a little design refresh inside, but its not run down nor does it detract from the experience.
