Lori Campos-Bautista Had the barbecoa!! The corn tortillas always soooo hood here. My taco was a bit greasy but very good, just watch the drippings as the taco approaches your mouth..lol. Have napkins ready! That fideo loco was really good!! This one had potatoes in it. Loved the bowl concept! Mexican Ramen..lol. Needed salt but thats ok, good if watching sodium, if not just add your own salt! The Nachos were a nice size and good. My husband really enjoyed his mini tacos! Overall, good family atmosphere. Able to pull the tables together. Waitress really nice. Food brought out nice and hot and not a long wait at all. You sit yourself. Prices were on the menu. Parking available. Stay open in evenings. Did notice prices go up on menu but food is good here so worth it. They have TV Screen for those TV watchers. Bathrooms are available.

Lauren Stroud We came last minute and exhausted from being outside in the heat all day, didnt even think to take pictures unfortunately... Didnt expect to leave a review but here I am. Great little spot! Our friend got the Mixed Caso fajitas which were awesome and the hubby and myself got enchilada plates, everything was very good! Oh, and the best part, didnt break the piggy bank, we all 3 were $40!

Luke Black This place is awesome. Got appetizers and 3 course meal. I had a couple of firsts for me as far as cheeses and ingredients, I love being able to say that. Cocktails were bomb if you like higher end cocktails that are balanced and have some unique flavors. Honestly if you’re from out of town you should check this place out. Even the coffee was amazing.

Haley Avery You MUST come eat here. I got the pork banh mi, shrimp chips, and taro tea and everything was on point. The flavors are perfect and everything was super fresh. Such a breath of fresh air here in East Texas!

Agathe M I went for brunch and genuinely enjoyed both the food and the drinks: everything was flavorful, well-presented, and served at just the right pace. The atmosphere was such a standout too. I visited around Halloween, and the décor was absolutely on point: fun, creative, and really added to the whole experience. I’m already looking forward to going back during the holiday season to see how they transform the place because if it’s anything like their Halloween setup, it’s going to be amazing. Overall, I highly recommend Mamajuana to anyone looking for a great brunch spot in downtown Houston: delicious food, great vibes, and a super welcoming ambiance.
