The Grape Taste Restaurant - (Near Lake Jackson, TX)

Wendi the Wanderer We visited Compadres Hill Country Cocina in Boerne that was an authentic and patriotic experience with great food. I tried the George Strait tacos, that were named after the country music legend after his visit to the restaurant, and my husband had the 3-pack birria tacos. The restaurant was busy but our food came out fast and fresh. During our visit, we saw multiple military members, law enforcement, and veterans come for lunch—many giving the chef and owner, a two time Iraq veteran, a big hug. This restaurant gets it right, not just with the food, but with the remarkable support to veterans, Purple Heart recipients, and Gold Star families.

Adriana Herrera Food was delicious. We stopped for brunch and were really hungry. Food was so good and came out hot. Server was very nice and attentive. She checked on us and kept our drinks full.

Frank Navarro My wife ordered the steakhouse salad and I ordered a 2 meat plate with okra and waffle fries as sides. It was very tasty. Everything was hot and fresh, the salad looked amazing.

Michael McCorkle What a surprise. Been to Galveston 40+times and just found this place. Food was very good (not a fan of the fries, very similar to Arbys curly fries, just not curly) but the shrimp and burger were excellent and reasonably priced. Monday night just 2 days before Christmas, had the restaurant almost to ourselves. The service was excellent and fast. No complaints at all.

Patrick Bird Love dining here whenever we visit Brownsville. They have lots of home style choices at very reasonable prices. The staff is always friendly.
