Urban Bird Hot Chicken - San Marcos

Rating: 4.8 /5
Awais Sheikh Urban Bird Hot Chicken in San Marcos is an absolute MUST. We got the Big Bird Platter with Nashville Hot and BBQ-flavored chicken tenders, and everything was seriously on point, period. The tenders were flavorful, juicy, and had that perfect hot-chicken kick without being all heat and no taste. We also tried the Sweet Potato Fries, the Crinkle Fries, and the Elote side, and let me tell you—those sides did not feel like an afterthought at all. And the service? Incredible. Our server was awesome and went out of his way to explain what Elote was, and he even gave us a free sampler to try. On top of that, he didn’t charge us for the drinks, which was genuinely so kind and made the whole experience feel extra welcoming. Highly recommend Urban Bird Hot Chicken if you’re in the area—especially if you’re shopping at the San Marcos Premium Outlets and you’re looking for Halal food that actually tastes amazing.

Grace Gobart My $11.99 chicken/beef fajita plate was amazing! Very full of flavor. All the plates (we ordered eight) were delicious, and large portions.

Adriana G First time here, and we were very well taken care of. Nicole and I believe a manager as well were incredibly kind and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious. There was just something about this place that felt really nice: clean, spacious, and comfortable. We’ll definitely be coming back. Top-notch service all around.

Big Pappa’s Smokehouse & More - Baytown

Rating: 4.4 /5
Azy Mancillas Big Papa’s Smokehouse is hands-down my favorite breakfast spot. I usually stop by around 6:30 in the morning when it’s quiet, and I’m always there for the brisket tacos—they’re huge, delicious, and absolutely worth it. On days when I know I won’t get lunch, these tacos keep me full and happy until at least five o’clock. Great food, great flavor—highly recommend!

Sams Original Restaurant - Fairfield

Richard Combs The service was excellent. The bread was amazing. The salad bar was excellent. The main buffet had a lot of thanksgiving dinner items on it which would be my only complaint. I would have preferred a more traditional buffet menu but it makes sense for them to offer that at this time of year. Brisket was good. I liked the chicken fried steak of the buffet. They also had homemade style pies (coconut, chocolate, pumpkin). They were excellent.

Pizza PieRos - Belton

Rating: 4.7 /5
Brian Bownds Came in for lunch during Belton Market Days. Service was awesome, everyone was friendly and accommodating. Placed my order for a cheese, pepperoni, and Hawaiian pizza, 2 soft drinks, and a beer and it was $56. Pizzas were brought out quickly. The Hawaiian and cheese were cooked perfectly, but the pepperoni could have stood another minute or so in the oven as it was a little on the soft side. Toppings were fresh and cheese plentiful and tasty. We enjoyed our lunch and recommend Pizza Pieros.
