Matador Tacoma - (Near Tacoma, WA)

Kelly Kirk We ordered takeout from this place. I convinced my husband to try the fermented rice, as he only ever eats pad thai. We ordered pork spring rolls and one order of fermented rice with chicken. Both were delicious. The pork was on the dry side, but the flavor was good. The rice dish came with lettuce leaves to use as taco shells, and mint and cilantro filled a third box. A little of both, sprinkled on the fermented rice, in the leaf boat, was so delicious. The servings are massive. We made six meals from the rice order, as that was a reasonable, healthy portion, leaving both of us sated but not stuffed. I would definately return for a meal here again. I suggest sharing a meal, as once again, huge portions.

José Costa Rodrigues I normally don’t get this excited about a restaurant. But this was one of my best experiences so far in 4 years living in the US. The restaurant vibe is great, it feels comfy and welcoming. The staff is quick and polite. The food… incredible! Just check the pictures. You guys deserve 5 stars without a doubt. Thank you!

Carly Cute little place! Obviously went here because of Twilight, but also it was the only Italian place I could find in Port Angeles that didnt serve only pizza. I had the manicotti (Bellas mushroom ravioli was sold out) and it was SO good! Its a very small local restaurant so keep that in mind and make reservations or you may not get a spot.

Miguel Flores Great German food! The food tasted authentic! It was the best jagerschnitzel Ive tasted outside of Germany. My wife and I shared the 3 schnitzel with cucumber salad, German potato salad and red cabbage. We added an order of the potato pancakes. Portions were big, so we took enough for another meal the next day. I would come here regularly, but unfortunately we live in Texas and are just visiting. They have a good selection of German beer and the service was excellent!

Shawn Robins Fantastic food and service. I did, however, expect more color and vegetables in the dishes and realized I would need to purchase the vegetables as a side rather than it being part of the meal. I had the lemon grass chicken pad Thai and it tasted fantastic with what I thought was generous portions. Seemed a bit pricey however as I’ve experienced better Thai meals presented more beautifully at a lower price. Overall, satisfied with the experience.

Greg Salo My wife and I had brunch at the Red Pickle on Sunday, November 30. It was so good. My wife had the Tacos of the Day, and I had the Breakfast Chimichanga. I understand they also serve dinner food. We will be back.
