Batter Rebellion - (Near Riverside, CA)

2 /5 Scott Cantino: We were eager to patronize the restaurants in the new “Farm House” Collective in Riverside. We went to Batter Rebellion and ordered food and iced tea. When they handed us our drinks in plastic cups I was a little surprised because it didn’t seem like a “to go” place. My husband and I sat outside at a table waiting for our food and a woman came to our table with everything we ordered in a bag to go. I asked her if I could have a plate and she informed me that they didn’t have plates and everything was to go. She said all the restaurants there were to go. When I asked how they would serve my pizza at Bricks and Birch across from them , she said they would serve it in a pizza box. I asked how long this would be lasting and she said it was the way they were going to serve everything all the time. My waffle was soft from being served in a closed plastic container and I don’t recommend this restaurant.

3 /5 Dang N: I’m not sure how to describe this place. My wife and I came to the Farmhouse Collective for dinner recently. Based on the menu that we read right outside the entrance, we decided on this spot. The decor is modern and relaxing. You order at the bar and they bring your food to your table. So there is no traditional table service. We both ordered burgers and shared an order of the poke nachos. The food was ok, nothing that wowed us. The burger patty was very thin and didn’t have much flavor. The burger was dominated by bun and lettuce. But what really surprised us was that all of our food was brought to our table in to go containers along with plastic ware and ketchup packets. We found this to be odd since we were expecting our food on actual plates. Especially because the burgers were $15 each. I’m sure they have their reasons on why they serve the food this way, but it just didn’t match the overall decor/vibe of the place. We would have preferred to eat our meals on plates. The to go containers made it a little cumbersome. Also all of the “mixed” drinks were premade in cans so the bartender does not actually make any mixed drinks. The service was simple without much “friendliness”. The guy took our order and then brought us our food; no more no less. It was a very strange dinning experience. I don’t want to sound too negative but I’m having a difficult time describing our experience in any other way.

1 /5 Taylor Stratz: Really disappointed with our visit here. The burger came with a pre-made patty that lacked flavor, and the only noticeable taste was from the jam which was only in the center of the burger for some reason. Both of us didn’t feel well the next day after eating here. It’s a shame because the ambiance is cool and the beer was good. This isn’t the first time I’ve left this restaurant disappointed so I thought I’d give it another try. Sadly though, I won’t be eating here again.

5 /5 Perez. Family: Delicious I ordered the rebel burrito it was delicious. I had avocado made even better. The rebels sauce really good And a shout out to Candace that’s the name on the receipt Saturday morning at 11:30 She’s a sweetie and help me out with my order I wish I would’ve taken a picture of my burrito, but I ate too fast

5 /5 mario abrego: Had the most satisfying burger and salad combo Ive had in quite a while. The black brioche bun looked so exotic. It was soft and tasted really good just like a high quality classic bun. The burger ingedients tasted very fresh and it had just the right amount of chili bite... pronounced but not overpowering. The salad was not only refreshing tasting but was a sight to see with all the colorful heirloom cherry tomatoes!!! Sadly I did not take any pictures, but will next time I visit. Chill Out Combo: Classic house black brioche bun Nice chunky 1/3 lb all beef patty Pepper jack cheese Roasted green chili Garlic Aioli Fried shallots Side House Salad: (instead of fries) Fancy heirloom cherry tomatoes, mixed greens, cucumber, parmesan, and Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing.
