Volcano Union Pub + Inn - Volcano
Brian Olson This review is specific to my experience at the pub. The food is spectacular but that doesn’t tell the whole story. For breakfast we were met by our server whose name is Eric. He was just a humble, kind, servant. In conversation with him we came to find out that Eric was not only our server but also the chef who runs the kitchen and the wait staff. We were blown away. The food was soooo good.
While dining there I noticed pictures of him with the kitchen and wait staff. I could tell this was a tight-knit team. While having dinner there it was busy and I saw him interact with the wait-staff in a positive way. I could tell that he respects and likes his team and they feel the same about him.
It all made for a super-positive vibe!
This is unusual in the hospitality and restaurant world.
At dinner Chef Eric asked us if we would be staying for breakfast the following morning. We told him we couldn’t stay as we had to get to work early. That night he prepared a delicious frittata, and added a scone and granola/parfait for my wife and I and had it in the hotel fridge that we could grab and go in the morning. He went way above and beyond. I will never forget his humility, kindness and true hospitality.
