Dave R Came in for dinner and was not disappointed. We enjoyed our caprese and the fired zucchini blossom appetizers. Pasta dishes were excellent and the lamb shank was nice and tender. Wine selection was good, with prices so suit different budgets. Saw another table order the cheese wheel pasta and had it prepared by their table which is very interesting and entertaining to watch. Will definitely be back when in the area.

Tony Genco Best prime rib I’ve ever had. Hands down. All the food was fantastic with unique takes on classic comfort food, with elevated ingredients and style. Chef Josh was a delight and came out to the table to explain the inspiration for each dish. 10/10 coming back to try some of the rest that we didn’t get a chance to this time around.

Mariana Vega The picture makes no justice to the food. I love it here!! Been here a couple of times and loved everything I’ve tried. The drinks are pretty good and the chips/totopos are freshly made. The sides are so good!! Is rare to see rajas as a side (besides beans and red rice). They were super nice to my service dogs and brought him treats. 5/5 stars 5/5 paws

James Camacho The atmosphere and the food here make for a great night out. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, the bacon mac and cheese, and the buttuery buns. Everything was delicous! At this time of year this restaurant embraces the Christmas spirit, which I really appreciate. The customer service was great as well. Everyone was friendly and helpful. As is the case for any downtown eating experience, the parking can be tough to find. Park 20-30 minutes before you want to eat because you may have to walk several blocks. Overall, a great experience with some delicious food. Eat up!!!

5.Fort Oak

Address: 1011 Fort Stockton Dr, San Diego, CA 92103

Connor McMorrow Fort Oak absolutely crushed it. The drinks? Dangerous in the best way. The lamb kefta and pork chop were the stars of the show - flavor bombs that we’re still thinking about - but let’s be real, everything we ate was ridiculously good. The vibe is dialed, the service is on point, and we left full and very, very happy. Already plotting our return.

Identity Tron Enjoyable location, friendly staff, good food. The fish tacos have a little bit of diced jalapeño on them so be aware of that if you dont want some slight heat. The chowder was a bit peppery but I enjoyed that.

Wandering in Paradise Delicious shellfish at Rockin’ Baja Lobster in Old Town! Great, laid back surf vibe with lots of seating and an outdoor, covered, dog friendly patio. We ordered the original Baja bucket for two with the lobster chowder and fried ice cream. Everything tasted amazing, especially the lobster tail. The mai tais were very tasty. A staff member came and offered free photos and post cards. There is $7 valet parking available. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, and orders came out quickly. Recommend!

Douglas Durkin Every cocktail, appetizer, entree and dessert was a delicious work of art! The menu is unique and the dishes deserving of Michelin stars and the chef a James Beard award. The Mezcal de Granada was creative and refreshing. The flounder was amazing, as were the corn cake and homemade Mexican chocolate ice cream. My family was surprised and thoroughly impressed!

Brian Bennett Went to lunch here with our daughter, her hubby and the two adorable grandkids. The place was not busy and we had a nice, unhurried meal. Celina was our server and she was awesome. She was welcoming and tended to our every need with a great attitude. Food arrived quickly and we felt that each dish/bag was good and my daughter loves the juice in the bag. Everything was as expected and I do recommend this King Crab location.

Adrian Montfort Holy guacamoly. We ended up having an impromptu Sunday lunch and boy were we blown away. Service is top level, ambience and decor is perfect. But the food, omg! Coconut curry mussels and burger to share and we were blown away. Key lime pie for dessert was thicc and decadent. This is an extremely lucky find in Mission Bay and will be our new happy hour from now on.

AnnaMarie Horning Went as two couples for a weekend lunch. We started with the mimosa option and their Award winning World Famous lobster bisque with sherry. Do not skip this. It’s absolutely amazing! Everyone ordered a different menu item and they were all prepared to perfection! Very reasonably priced too! We chose a window seat in the outdoor covered patio area to enjoy people watching, in addition to our fabulous meal.

Jean Tu I arrived for a pretty late lunch since I was in the area for a conference and have been meaning to try out Hodads. I came around 3 PM on a Monday and there was no one else in the shop but me which meant I got super quick service. I opted for the single cheeseburger with onion rings and a Dr. Pepper. The burger was pretty good and the onion rings were amazing. It was definitely worth the 20 minute walk that it took to get there. Id go back in the future just for the onion rings alone! The best part is that they give you 2 stickers at the end of your meal! Im pretty sure youre supposed to stick the stickers on the walls of the establishment somewhere but I wanted to take mine.

vanessa molina We took my sister here to celebrate her birthday, and Cocina 35 truly exceeded our expectations! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was absolutely beautiful—warm, inviting, and full of character. The music added so much vibrance to the experience, creating the perfect backdrop for a celebratory meal. And the food… absolutely delicious. Every dish was bursting with authentic flavor and felt thoughtfully prepared. On top of that, the service was nothing short of spectacular. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcomed throughout our visit. We especially loved Flor! Cocina 35 made my sister’s birthday feel extra special, and we left already talking about when we’d be back. Highly recommended!
