Load It Up! - (Near Plaquemine, LA)

Kimberly Gonzalez My hopes were not high being from South Texas... I was SO WRONG!!!! Gonzalez Mexican Restaurant hit it out of the park!! The staff was so sweet and amazing!! The food was SPOT ON. So full of flavor!! I left stuffed and making plans for a return. The patio outside looks so inviting, when my husband asked to sit outside I was concerned, it was so hot outside I was worried I wouldnt be able to enjoy my food or the company . I was WRONG!! The fans they have scattered throughout gave a nice cooling breeze . And the drinks , YUM !!!!

David Cardenas I was greeted by a familiar face (James)who once worked at the hospital and now is the manager. The server, Cris, took my order and pretty quickly, my seafood gumbo arrived. It was hot, fresh and savory. Before I could finish, my catfish platter was being placed in front of me. It too was fresh and hot. The food overall was well cooked and seasoned perfectly. For dessert, it was the bread pudding that capped off an already wonderful experience. James not only upgraded the menu from the last time I was here, 4 years ago, has a vision to make it more of a gathering spot for friends and family. Larger TV’s have been added, they will be opening up on Sundays and the quality of food is constantly checked and improved. I definitely will be coming back here when I visit the historic city. Thanks to James and all the staff for treating me like family.

Marc Gagnon If you’re looking for real Cajun comfort food, Boudreau and Thibodeau’s in Houma is the place to go! Their menu is packed with all your Cajun favourites, and everything that was tried was delicious. The catfish and shrimp po’boys hit the spot - crispy, flavourful, and generously filled. The gator bites were perfectly seasoned, and the onion rings were crispy and satisfying. The bottomless sweet tea keeps one refreshed throughout the meal, and Honey’s service was wonderfully authentic and truly appreciated. A memorable experience from start to finish - can’t wait to come back!

Elizabeth Medus Stopped in at Walk-On’s and had a great experience. Our server, Kayla, was genuinely one of the highlights of the visit. She was friendly, on top of everything, and made sure we had everything we needed without us ever having to ask. Her timing was perfect, and she gave great recommendations that ended up being spot-on. The service felt really smooth and attentive the whole time, even though the place was pretty busy. You can tell she knows what she’s doing and actually cares about making sure guests have a good experience. Definitely recommend asking for Kayla if you’re coming in — she made our visit awesome and we’ll absolutely be back!

Sinia Urreta Stopped here on our way from Mississippi to Florida in search of an authentic “Louisiana” meal and Copeland’s did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious and our waitress Alyssa created an incredibly welcoming experience with her warm friendly smile, southern charm and attentive professional service. Highly recommend! (Zoe also stopped by our table and she was lovely as well. Very impressed with all the staff!)
