Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar - (Near Livonia, MI)

David Furstenberg I surprised my wife (well until we got about a mile and a half from the restaurant when she figured it out) for a birthday dinner for a special birthday. We had never been there together and neither of us had been here in more than 33 years. After our experience last night we realize what a mistake that has been! The restaurant is as charming as our memories recall it being. From the moment you enter, you are treated as valued guests. Everyone we came into contact with were both warm and professional. We started with two appetizers to share, the pera cotta and the fiora di carciofi fritta. Both were delicious. We particularly enjoyed the fiora. Prior to the appetizers arriving we were greeted by the sommelier to answer any questions we had about the wine as well as one of the most important people in the restaurant, the young man who kept bringing by very good warm rolls. We never had to request more. We knew Cafe Cortina was known for its lasagna so we decided to get one of each, the Emiliana and the Lasagna Vincigrassi. We did not know that these came with a house salad until the salads arrived which were very nice. The lasagna? Both were decadent in a good way, rich, flavorful and in generous portions. Its not often I cant finish a meal at a restaurant but we actually took quite a bit home. Multiple rolls (I wont admit how many I ate) probably contributed to my inability to finish the lasagna. Neither of us could decide which lasagna was better.....they are different but both outstanding. Dessert was just not going to happen though we saw something chocolate with many layers that looked fantastic. The overall experience at Cafe Cortina was worthy of a rare 5 star for me. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and my personal thanks to the chef and all the employees we encountered for helping make my wifes birthday dinner special. We will definitely be back!

Ariana My first experience at Prime + Proper was absolutely amazing. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. The hostess was wonderful, the waitstaff was attentive and kind, and the overall energy and ambiance were elevated yet inviting. The food was outstanding beautifully prepared and full of flavor. What truly stood out was the customer service. I felt seen, appreciated, and fully catered to throughout the evening. This was more than just a meal it was a beautiful experience. A true 10 out of 10. Five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I will definitely be coming back!

Vivian Dbouk Took hubby here for his birthday and the food was way up there. The flavors... you wont get anywhere else. The chef(s) really pay attention to detail and make sure the food is perfect and to your liking. Great place and highly recommend. We had the scallops and asparagus with coconut risotto, rack of lamb, roasted Brussels, calamari, and dessert. Everything was perfect. Thankyou for the wonderful experience.

Dave Roz I attended my work Christmas party at Mortons this weekend. We had a 50+ party in a side room. I had VERY high expectations. This was my first time visiting and everyone I talked to really hyped this place up. Customer service was top notch. Staff was absolutely amazing. Every request was accommodated and drinks were refilled quickly. I cant fault anything about the staff. They took really good care of us. The only thing that surprisingly disappointed me was the steak. The main event. The star of the show.. it was mid and overcooked. My requested medium rare filet was medium+ by the time it got to me. I did not send it back because I didnt want to be the jerk at the company Christmas party. Im sure my steak sat under a warming lamp for a very long time before it got to me because the size of our party and i was sitting at the last table that was served. The plate presentation looked very cruise ship "throw it on the plate and get it out" at best. (see photo and judge for yourself) I expected the steak to be the main event at Mortons Steakhouse. But f you are an acclaimed Steakhouse that cant serve a steak at the temp a customer requested, nothing else you do really matters. The salad, rolls, sides and desserts were all amazing, which makes the mid steak even more disappointing. I feel like we got the express rush version of Mortons. Im sure if you are a smaller party the attention to detail would be much better. But at the price we paid, we shouldnt have to accept a lower standard because we were in a large party. Im still giving five stars because I dont leave negative reviews, but if I had to pay for this meal I would have been disappointed. I probably wont visit again but Im glad I got to experience Mortons. Feliz Navidad!

Lauren Lindz This is a late review as I had visited during the summer but I wanted to leave a review since I said I would and had a good experience! The squid ink pasta was delicious. The house salad was also delicious and incredibly fresh. I also enjoyed the blondie dessert. Drinks were great. Hospitality from the owner was 5/5. Thank you, Don! Still dreaming about that pasta!!

Jenni Cederquist We had a lovely first visit. It was as expected after hearing nothing but high praise since they first opened their doors. We planned a birthday celebration, noted on our OpenTable reservation and received well wishes all throughout our service. We were seated in a private space overlooking the city and were treated with respect and welcome! The food is all top notch quality and flavor and preparation and presentation! All of these details made our first visit an outstanding memory, especially for a milestone birthday of a deserving family member! Our service was wonderful and pleasant and easy going. We appreciated being treated to a high-end experience with a comfortable approach. (We were sure to wear the appropriate business/casual specified on our reservation confirmation but did notice on our way out that other patrons wore more casual attire. I applaud the openness but always like to know how to feel most suitable. Overall, we were definitely glad to not be surprised when we arrived and felt our occasion warranted a dressier vibe.)
