Larry Ray Reed Flavor: A Service: B Tea: A Solo dining: B Because variety is my love language I was won over as soon as I found my item on the menu - the combination platter! The chicken strips and the steak finger strips were both good. I thought the gravy, corn, and potatoes were a little bland (and none of them were piping hot). But the star of the show was the okra. Cut in long strips rather than small pieces, battered with tons of flavor, and perfectly fried. And if there were a runner up, it would be the sauces - all of them that I tried were great. If only Dirks were around in my college days! But I’ll be back on the next L-town visit.

Liz Sus We are from Weslaco, Tx. We visited a state park earlier and for lunch we looked up BBQ places and decided on Chisholm Trail Smokehouse. A decision that we wouldnt regret. We ordered the Brisket Nachos, Brisket Sandwich, Smoked Elote, Smoked Jalapeño Popper, Mac N Cheese, and the Smoked Cheese steak . Our daughter is very picky and I was surprised she gave her Smoked Cheese Steak and Mac n cheese a 9/10✅ . My husband said his brisket sandwich was really good and so was the potato salad; he rated his meal a 8/10✅. I really loved the brisket nachos. I give them a 10/10✅....their chips, brisket, toppings; it all was delicious. The elote had a savory flavor. The filling to the Jalapeño Popper was on point. The cherry on top was our waitress Alexandria. She was very attentive with us, great customer service. Overall we had an amazing experience.

Reginyl L Dorsey This is my second time eating at this establishment. I was and still am very impressed with the food. IHOP pass by this place for many years now and didnt realize that this restaurant existed. I found out that prior it was a Mexican restaurant that closed down for several years and now theyre open since the past 2 years. Upon me moving back to Texas I stumbled upon this nice little gym of a restaurant. My little brother and I needed something to eat and this was the perfect spot to get it done. I highly recommend this place if youre looking for homestyle cooked meals fresh. I will return in the future when in the vicinity to try the rest of the menu. I ordered the deep fried pecan pie which I am extremely curious to try. On a scale from 1 to 10 I give this place 10 out of 10. Thank you for opening and provide an employees that even truck drivers can get into to get a good hot home cooked meal

Jeanette Read the reviews for Papos and at first decided not to come here but ended up here because of Marker 12 reviews not realizing it wasnt Marker 12. Im so glad it took us to Papos! People skip over the negative reviews(To many negative Nancys out there!!) Every staff encountered were so nice and even the owner checked in on us. Granite, yes the menu is Currently limited but its delicious!! (See photos) it tasted fresh to us! I swear we waited less than 10 minutes. We are already planning to come back next month. We live 2 hours away or wed make this our weekend hangout place. Dont skip this place, give them a chance. (No I dont know anyone that works here. This is a sincere review.)
