Kiara Kane My family came to Zino for the first time, and everything was delicious. We ordered the gyro and lamb shank, and the food was seasoned perfectly the cooks did an amazing job. We also tried the appetizer Imam Bayaldi, and wow… I normally don’t like eggplant, but it was incredible. The baklava tasted great too. My kids even asked, “When can we come back?” Karim was very kind, polite, and professional. He made our first visit even better. We will definitely be back!

Brian Goettl On our 2nd week long trip to El Paso, we went to L&J Cafe for an early lunch. I would have to rate it as my favorite restaurant experience of the two trips. As a Kentuckian, L&J Cafe seems to be an authentic El Paso mexican food experience. You get fresh made corn tortilla chips with three different salsas when you sit down. The 3 heat levels for the salsas satisfy different palates. We also ordered chilli con queso as an appetizer which was nothing but cheesy goodness. The lunch special the day we visited consisted of a chicken, a shredded beef and a ground beef taco. The shells were perfectly crisped and the fillings were delicious. The tacos came with rice and beans and a chicken/rice/veggie cup of soup was part of the special.. Campbells can only wish their soups were this good. We finished with the moist, light Tres Leches cake that did not disappoint, along with some sopaipilla. Oh, and as an ice tea aficionado, I can rate theirs an A. Finally, our waiter Fabian did a fabulous job. If you are in the area, give L&J Cafe a try. I think you will enjoy the food and the experience.

Barry Mitchell A wider menu than Tex-Mex. Pork carnitas were a signature dish and excellent- flour tortillas fluffy and soft. The tamal had very tasty masa and a rich smoky red sauce. Its a busy, kind of loud place. They have live music but we were there early so it was all recorded - still loud enough but even for me generally not liking loud places - I wasnt bothered by it. Staff was attentive and more than one came by to ask how things were etc. The margarita was good- I settled for the mid range "El Paso" versus the 42 ounce "Texas sized" one. Funky decor lots of alcoves with large tables - looks like its a popular spot for celebrations.

Dj Randol We decided to skip the kitchen chaos this year and try Kona Grill for Thanksgiving dinner. Best decision we made all month. From the moment we walked in, everything clicked. The host team was warm and welcoming (zero trace of the holiday rush stress you’d expect), and our server was flat-out excellent: attentive without hovering, genuinely enthusiastic about the specials, and timed everything perfectly. The vibe inside was upscale yet relaxed (sleek modern décor, soft lighting, chill music); festive enough for the holiday but never cheesy. The special Thanksgiving menu was way more creative than the usual turkey-and-stuffing suspects. The star was the Macadamia Nut Turkey: tender roasted turkey breast coated in a crunchy macadamia crust, served with a light passion fruit glaze that sounds wild but absolutely works. It’s the perfect blend of island flair and holiday comfort. The ribs (yes, ribs on Thanksgiving) were fall-off-the-bone perfect, glazed in that signature Kona BBQ sauce with just the right sweet-smoky balance. Sides were on point too: creamy mashed potatoes, crisp green beans, and a killer pineapple jalapeño cornbread stuffing that I’m still thinking about. Portions were generous, cocktails were strong (the spiced pumpkin margarita was dangerously good), and the dessert menu tempted us hard, but we were happily stuffed. Kona Grill turned what could have been just a convenient holiday meal into a legit dining highlight. If you want excellent service, creative food that still feels festive, and a beautiful environment that makes the holiday feel special without the dishes afterward, book it next year. We’re already

Dj Randol Stepped into West Texas Chophouse expecting classic Texas steakhouse vibes, and it delivered with a nice twist. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance: warm and welcoming the moment you walk in (think rich wood tones, soft lighting, and that subtle smell of mesquite in the air), yet it still feels a touch upscale and chic without ever crossing into stuffy territory. It’s the kind of place where you can wear boots or a blazer and fit right in. The food was genuinely tasty across the board. We went straight for the steaks and ordered the 16-ounce ribeye, cooked medium-rare. It came out textbook perfect—deep charred crust, bright pink center, juicy, and full of beefy flavor. Seasoning was spot-on, letting the quality of the meat shine. The burgers we tried (yes, we couldn’t resist) were surprisingly excellent too: thick, hand-formed patties, cooked with a nice sear and staying ridiculously juicy. Solid bun, fresh toppings—honestly one of the better steakhouse burgers I’ve had in a while. Service was friendly and attentive without hovering, and the pricing felt fair for the portion sizes and quality. Overall, West Texas Chophouse nails that “special night out” feel while still being relaxed enough for a weeknight splurge. If you’re craving a perfectly cooked ribeye and a comfortable, stylish room to enjoy it in, put this one on your list. Highly recommended—already planning my next visit.

Timothy Williams Leo’s Mexican food was really good. We’ve been here a few times in the past and it checks the box on food, atmosphere, service and cleanliness. We ordered the beef enchiladas with red sauce and the chicken enchiladas with green sauce. Both are really good. The kids had quesadillas and they enjoyed them. The Horchata was just OK. It actually disappointed, but the lemonade was really good and seemed to be made from scratch. The service is good and our waiter was friendly and helpful. The layout of the restaurant is divided in different sections, including a bar area. Overall, it was colorful and lively and a nice place to eat Mexican food. 4.5 star rounded up.

Kate K Updates: We revisited after getting a response from the manager, and it was fantastic this time! Greeted and seated right away. Service, food quality, and ambience was all perfect. We ordered 4 course meal and it was filling and a fun experience. Definitely coming back! ‐------------------------------------------------------ Original post: When we went there, we werent even greeted for more than 15 minutes. There was a server but she didnt sit us down or showed us menu nothing like that. She simply said they have a shortage of workers that day, without telling us how long we should wait or no apologies. There was another group who waited with us more than 10 minutes and we all left the restaurant. Pretty sure the only server wanted us to just leave. Understand that a shortage of staff is a big issue but Im sure they could have handled it differently. Ive never experienced a resutaurant just totally ghosting ppl when there were tons of empty tables. They could have came up with a waiting system or something like that. It was just bizzare..
