The Suave Sultan The food was absolutely lovely and our waiter was super nice. The vibe of the restaurant is very nice; kind of a chic industrial affair. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, so if the weather is nice, I’d recommend sitting outside. It’s right by Hannover square which is very cute and is one of my favorite places in Syracuse. So if you’re having a day on the town, I’d highly recommend coming here.

Malorie McCarthy Such a lovely spot for a special occasion or a night out to something different. As a birthday dinner, it was lovely. Right after New Year’s, so the inside was decorated and lit with a Christmas tree, just adding to the cozy atmosphere. Contemporary menus with a fresh take paired with a gorgeous interior. Friendly, but not-in-your-face staff. I get some people like to be left alone while dining, but nonetheless, staff was delightful. Honestly, the 3 of us loved our meals, will be recommending to friends!

Brianna Lee The restaurant has a young, classy vibe, and the food was delicious. Even the dishes that weren’t quite to our taste were still well-prepared and beautifully presented. The waitstaff was friendly and lighthearted, which made the experience even better. Our waiter Michael was knowledgeable and a great time! Highly recommend (plus, there’s a cute pub next door that’s perfect for post-dinner drinks and darts).

Lucas Blom I ordered the bistro steak fantastic. Seasoned properly Beautiful cook of medium rare. Fries.
Crispy on the outside soft on the inside nicely seasoned. The atmosphere was overlooking this beautiful golf course. Service was attentive and pretty. And the cake I had for dessert, the crepe cake. Was something delicious that I wasnt expecting. The only negative is the price. However, you do get what you pay for.

6.The Evergreen

Dakota The Evergreen is much more than just a pub. The food here is extremely elevated and one can tell how much care and thought goes into the preparation and execution of the dishes. The Evergreen has been a culinary haven in Hanover Square since moving downtown. Their Brunch has got to be one of the best in all of Downtown Syracuse. The Chorizo Sausage Gravy and the Corned Beef Hash are divine dishes packed full of contrasting flavors to start your day. Meaty, salty, spicy, and delicious. Their dinner menu is top notch as well. I have enjoyed the daily hummus plate, cracklings, the beer braised short rib grilled cheese, and the chicken bacon ranch sandwich. It amazes me that their tiny kitchen packs such a punch. It is extremely refreshing to find a place where the food is top notch and the atmosphere is extremely inviting. Plus their live music acts on Sunday are super talented! Thank you Evergreen!

ELIZABETH WILLIAMS Wonderful farm to table restaurant thats connected to the cheese store next door. Food is great, dont miss the cheese plate. Its amazing, as is the homemade sourdough bread with unique butter spread. The main courses vary from day to day. The night we were there entrees ranged from short ribs, to a vegetarian pasta. Its a small place so can be tough to secure a reservation. Its totally unique, nothing like Ive ever experienced in Syracuse. If you are a foody who loves cheese dont miss this place.

A very unique atmosphere and a great place to make friends/socialize. A ton of games to play at the bar and arcade games all around. The drink menu is really cool and has video game themed drinks. Will definitely be coming back!

Mark Olson This place is a hidden gem in the center of Syracuse NY. The sauce for the mussels was extraordinary and well thought out! The glaze on the salmon was exquisite. The salmon was cooked ro perfection.
The atmosphere was quiet as it was a Wednesday. But very open and relaxing!
The service was interesting. Isabella was my waitress. A young college student who just finished at a local community college and said she was considering continuing her education in business finance. I see nothing but success in this young girls future! She is professional, and appears to have a solid work ethic as well!
If you are a local, give this place a try. And if you are traveling from out of town and staying in the hotel, you have a really good place to eat right downstairs!
All the best Salt City Eatery and Isabella!!!

David This was the best hospitality we have ever had. The cook and chashier was super sweet to our kids making sure they had food they liked. The food was delicious and big portions. We had goat and chicken with unique rice it was so aromatic, you could smell jasmine as it cooked:). It was a differnt flavor palate, but in a great way, not so foreign that the average person couldnt enjoy it. and somosas were yummy with light curry. The hot green sauce were unique and so good on the rice. And my son and i loved the mango drink also. My kids liked the food also and they are under 5, but green sauce is to spicey for kids, otherwise not spicey food just yummy.

Erin Brennan My fiancé and I had our engagement party at Maxwells in their private event room. I honestly cant say enough how incredibly wonderful their staff is. Right from the start Maria was so accommodating and helpful. They made sure our night was about us. The food, drinks, and service were outstanding. From all the decorations, food displays, Photo Booth, lights, and all the little touches they did for us really made our night so special. We are so happy we chose to have our night there, it will be an amazing memory forever! If youre looking to just have dinner, drinks, or want to have a private event/party Maxwells is 100% the place to go to!

Ahmed Al-Akki We went to this restaurant for late lunch. Our waitress Hong T was very professional and courteous. She did a great job serving us. We enjoyed our experience here very much. We also took some cheesecake slices back home. My favorite is Key Lime Cheesecake. This restaurant is a little bit pricey, but food portions are huge.

Adrianne Ramirez I heard a lot about this place so I had to come check it out. I was told a 25 min wait upon arriving but I luckily I was seated within 5 minutes. I went for lunch which is a more fast, casual style. It’s a super easy ordering system - you just scan a QR code, order, and pay right on your phone. Service was great, and staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Food was amazing, portions are a good size (plenty for leftovers). I got the daily lunch special which was an amazing value. Although I would probably skip the tossed salad and order another salad option. The spicy hot tomato oil appetizer is a must if you go! They also sell them in tubs to go, and across the street at their bakery.
