Larry Ray Reed Flavor: A- Service: B Tea: B Solo dining: A When it’s on the main drag in F’burg, you never know if it’s legit or if they’re kept in business by drunken bachelorette parties ordering Cobb salads. I’m happy to report this place is legit. There are a few burger options on the menu but I will always choose the smash burger when one is offered. Theirs is two beef patties with American cheese, green leaf lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, and house sauce on a potato bun. It all comes together very nicely, and while not a burger that blew my socks off, it was simple and really good. It’s flavorful and juicy but maybe just cooked a tad longer than I would like. If you believe life is about the sauce like I do, you’ll appreciate the extra condiments on the side to complement the house sauce. I’ll give it an A- for flavor though I wonder if on a different day they’d be an A. But The Burger Trail review only happens once so burger joints worldwide should always be on their A game. The house-made onion rings and ranch were a dynamite side and the live music on the patio made for an ideal evening. Jimmy Purdon The location was very clean and appeared to be recently renovated in areas of the restaurant. The food was decent but not the best Ive had, I guess I was spoiled to the original David Beards Catfish King on 155. The onion were awesome but everything else was average. We got the Cajun filets and nothing was Cajun about them. When you say cajun Im expecting some spice and a little bit of heat, but it failed to deliver on that. The servers were friendly and helpful but the food was very slow coming out, took 30 minutes to get our food.

Tres Davis I had the vegan taco and my mother had a club sandwich. Both were excellent. The quality of the ingredients was good and the veggies were fresh. The service was great. Our waitress was friendly and there when we needed her and never made us feel rushed.

Kelley McBride I love this place! The wife and I took the Texas Independence Trail on our way to the coast and this was our first stop for lunch. Super friendly service, a true Texas bbq joint with a cozy atmosphere. Lots of rustic wood and rusted metal interior and photos on the walls. Best brisket sandwich Ive had in a long time! My wife got 3 sides and they were all home made quality. This is definitely our #1 spot in town and we will be back every time we go to the coast!

J Estrada The food was pretty good here. The portions are big and the prices are very reasonable. We were able to find a table very easily for our party. The service was good but it can be a little slow at times. The atmosphere was pretty relaxed and it had interesting decor inside. There was plenty of parking, too. I would give it a try.

Chelsea Dieterman We went to BWH for our anniversary last night……..it was our first time here and let me tell you it was INCREDIBLE! The service was amazing, friendly and personable! BUT THE FOOD WAS SENSATIONAL. We ordered the deviled eggs, bacon wrapped dates, house salad with steak, signature burger and finished off with an amazing bread pudding. Everything has Soooooo much flavor, seasoned to perfection, cooked and craft fully prepared. It was some of the best food Ive had in a long time! Wow what an incredible treat! The bacon wrapped dates were MIND BLOWING! We drove here from Temple for dinner and man are we glad we did! What a gem of a place! I can’t say enough about how they treated us and how amazing the food was! After eating we sat outside and listened to an amazing artist named Caleb Wilbourn who was just great I could believe more people weren’t out there listing to his wonderful music. It was an incredible night! I can’t thank you guys enough for our wonderful experience!
